Section 1: Rationale/Review (Level 2 approx 50 words, Level 3 approx 100 words)
a)       Outline the knowledge, skills and understanding you have acquired.
b)      Explain what you need now, and what it means to you, compared with what you knew and could do before you started the course,
c)       Explain how this has influenced your choice of pathway and your project proposal.
The skills that I have applied over the last projects and will apply to this project are my time keeping skills because i believe that they have improved massively and the fact that  i now believe that I can run a project efficiently and simply so that i have more time to reshoot or produce new content if needed. I will also use my understanding of how war is presented in media from my essay of a critical comparison between The longest day and Saving private ryan. This shows how war has been represented and how to show a tone emotion in my piece which is a good thing to know because if i wanted to show a certain emotion then i could show that through a certain color which is and aspect that i could use and that i want to show and demonstrate in my piece. I have also acquired skills in photography and I have gained the knowledge and understanding of a photography which I have used and put into practice over the last year such as I now know how to use focal point through the view finder in dslr and I understand the use of depth of field and how to use that in my shots to give them depth and a deeper meaning. This means to me that I could do something I enjoy and improve on it and as I want to do this for my career in the future this is a good opportunity to showcase my skill and understanding and as a way to practice and improve my technique, as for what I need I need to set loose with a camera and use my skills and start doing practical work. This has influenced my choice through my fmp last year meaning that I could do something I enjoy and wanted to try and make that my profession later on so I am using this year’s fmp as experience and building my skills and knowledge.
Section 2: Project Concept (Level 2 approx 100 words, Level 3 approx 200 words)
a)      The research and ideas that will support your project development.
b)      What you anticipate producing, the level and types of recourses that you will need, and
c)       An indication of the form in which you will complete and present your final realisation (product) with the allocated timescale.

For my FMP I would like to do Toy photography again to improve my skills and come away with more than last year by either doubling the amount of pictures or halving it but upping the quality as well as I would like to do this as my profession in the future as well as a part time hobby whilst I am working. I would like to do a war theme but they may extend into fantasy science fiction shots as well. To make these shots i would build my own mini diorama and sets on an old cooking trays like my inspiration does he gathers some random pieces out of his garden and forests and he make an environment from then to soot the shot that he is doing as well as he does a series of outside shots to get a certain effect that would soot the shot better which i would be tempted to incorporate shot dependent. My idea would also have me use a variety of lighting depending on what i want   to show which is something i would look into and learn from in the future and could hopefully display. With this piece I want to demonstrate and show a child's imagination when the buy a new toy so I would be showing the excitement or the drama / sadness when a character dies in their stories or the excitement of an action scene. In my piece i will show existing assets and characters that have been officially released by Lego themselves rather than customized figures although some customized figures made by me   may be used depending on what type of shot and theme i use. The research I have conducted is I have looked at my inspirations for the project and the shoots I plan on doing and seen how they make there shoots and the equipment they use so I know what I am doing it and how to do it.

Section 3: Evaluation (Level 2 approx 50 words, Level 3 approx 50 words)
You should describe how you intend to record your decision making and how you will document changes to your ideas as the project progresses.
For this i will show my setup and settings as well as i will show what equipment that i will use to take those shots and i will document these in my blogger as well as i will show all of my shoots in blogger and then i will show these in folder format so that i can evaluate them as a whole and pick out the best shots I will document my progress by doing a weekly review fo my shots and gather feedback on them each week.

Idea 1 (Main idea)

In my idea I will used my newly learnt skills such as exposure aperture and iso as well as shutter speed such as I would like to do diorama photography using lego by creating my own sets scenery and landscape and using my own lego models and figures. Such as I would now use a lower f stop to get a smoother and deeper depth of focus such as I will use an f stop of around 4 because I want it to be a smooth depth of field but not to far got so you still have a good idea of what is happening and where it is set.

In my final major project I hope to create shots like this fro my amp using the same techniques and shot types

This is an example that I have taken of my main inspirations flicker page where he explains how he made his choices and how and why he made the sets landscapes and scene

"So basically a lid from a bin repurposed as a tray to hold a bunch of dirt and crap. I like how its a tray so I can easily move it for different lighting and backgrounds. This setup has been where I’ve taken most of my shots lately, whether it be all dusty in this or filled with water and plants in this. On the top left you can see the bricks I painted and that I use as backgrounds in some of my pics such as thisthisor this, etc and you can see that chicken wire that I just use as a fence in the background sometimes. Also I got a bendy barbecue lighter for being able to put the fire in a weird spot while still looking through the camera. Of course I gotta throw in a crashed star destroyer for a cool background and there you go. The camera is a Canon Rebel SL1 and I just used the kit lens because after years of using dslr's and different lenses, i tried using the standard 18-55 i always forget about and I realized it works the best for lego photography because of how close you can get to the figures and being able to change the look with the zoom by having the field of view change by being able to change the focal length. A lot of my shots are variations of this setup."

These are some examples of how he made some of his shots which I hope to imitate when I start the creation process

For example these are shots fro a plague doctor scene and the tomb raider which is the shot 4th down on my shots that I would like create

This is how he made that shot

"For this shot I used my Canon Rebel SL1 set up on a tripod using my 40mm f/2.8 pancake lens, (btw this camera/lens combo is great for an everyday camera because it's small but it's still a proper dslr and it even has video too) and I used my handy-dandy remote shutter so its easier to focus on not setting my custom mining on fire instead of the shutter button. My setup for this specific shot involved a bunch of random dirt clumps that had moss on them that I might’ve took from my neighbor’s yard, and I used some random leaves because i couldn’t find enough dirt clumps but i still needed to make the end of the cave darker so it was easy to use leaves as coverage. I put all the crap that I used for the shot on a flipped over plastic bin lid because it is waterproof and easy to transport the whole setup somewhere else when needed. The waterproofiness of that bin lid comes in handy because my original idea was to have a flooded cave (as they usually are in Tomb Raider) so I just filled that thing up with water. I ended up using using a longer barbecue lighter rather than the one in the picture because it was easier to direct the flame without burning my thumb. The final shot for this pic is pretty much straight out of camera, albeit a bit of color balancing."

For example I would use an f stop of 1.4 to 2 like this person

this is the set up he uses he has made his own set and landscape by using rocks and dirt out of his garden to create a scene that is meant to represent a soldier coming across a destroyed landscape or the fact that he has been shot down but they use a lower f stop iso and shutter speed because the depth of field is meant to be smaller so that you focus on him and his emotion and there is a smaller iso and shutter speed because the object is not moving and you want a darker shot so by doing this he Is making the scene darker and more intense real and emotional .

These are the setting and the equipment that they use in these shots If I go for this type of shot I will use these settings and hopefully the same equipment

where as in this shot done by the same person there would be a higher shutter speed to capture the explosion and the dirt blast so he would have his shutter speed on around 1/400 or 1/500 to capture the dirt splat as well there is around a a focal length of around f stop 5 so that you still have the shot in focus but not too much so it does not distract from the part of the soldiers and the setting of where they are and the idea behind the shots as well as there is a higher I.S.O due to the lighter nature of the film as well as there is a lot of moving objects so logic dictates that you should have a higher shutter speed.

These are the setting and the equipment that they use in these shots If I go for this type of shot I will use these settings and hopefully the same equipment

Idea 2

My other idea entailed me doing stop motion animation which was something that I wanted to do but not as much as doing my photography because I wanted to improve on photography and I genuinely enjoy doing photography more and for stop motion I do not have the patience for stop motion photography and I believe that if I had the time I wold have bitten the bullet and gone for It but as the time is shorter than last year and I don't want to dawdle to get my mark I have decided against it

The idea would be to do a lego stop motion showing something that i have not yet decided and would last around 45 second to a minute and it would have around a couple thousand picture because i would have it run at 12 fps depending because I may drop that down to 8 depending on time and the topic would  gangster alcapone type of piece.

Idea 3

My last Idea was to do a music video for Lauv I like me better  which I thought was a good idea but I think that I was being unrealistic because I would not have the time and I did not have an idea where i would have gone with it or had something to produce or what I was meant to produce and how to do it. So I decided it would be better to do photography which is some thing I know and would enjoy a lot more and as I have said I would like to do this for a future career which is good because now I have the time and resources to improve my work and technique.
